Bohemia-lázně in Karlovy Vary already started reconstruction of its existing balneo operation last year. The offer of procedures was extended to include dental irrigation, a four-chamber galvanic bath and peat bath, which was supplemented this year to include peat wraps from natural peat.
Sanatorium Kriváň has completely reconstructed its balneo operation and now offers the highest level of comfort and quality. Every bathing cabin has its own facilities either in the form of a rest room or its own shower. The whole investment into construction work culminated in the purchase of new tubs for underwater massage, pearl bath, whole-body whirlpool bath and carbonic bath. The company also launched another new procedure this August, the “Kneipp path”.
But building work is not over yet. The company is counting on completion of the wellness centre next year which will include a new pool with counter-flow, a dry steam spa and wellness massages such as hot stone and aroma massages etc. The whole complex will be supplemented by a solar meadow and multifunctional tub.
Thanks to this modernisation the so-called men’s and women’s days formerly used in the spa industry were done away with and the capacity of procedures provided was increased.
The biggest news this year is probably completion of the new accommodation part of Sanatorium Kriváň. 24 new, mainly single rooms have been built in the rear wing of the sanatorium. The handicap of the so-called “back” rooms is compensated for by the fact that these rooms are all equipped with air-conditioning and all of them have balconies. The rooms are furnished in line with the latest trends and designs.
