Following a convincing victory, the Schnupperwoche stay in the Palace**** spa hotel in Luhačovice was awarded by the Eastern Moravian Tourist Board as the hit of the season for 2012. The award was accepted by the director of the Luhačovice Spas, Ing. Jiří Dědek, MBA, during a ceremony held to announce the results of the competition for the best tourism product in Eastern Moravia.
The announcement took place at the conclusion of the Annual Tourism Conference for the Tourism Region of Eastern Moravia on 24 January in the Community House in Luhačovice.
“This is a spa product consisting primarily of procedures with the use of local mineral waters,” explained Dědek. “The stay is offered in the Palace four-star spa hotel, which provides a high standard of spa treatment services and is one of the best facilities of its kind in the Czech Republic. The aim is for German-speaking guests to enjoy besides spa treatments also a wide range of services, which Luhačovice and its surroundings offer – comfortable accommodation, modern gastronomy based on local products and cultural use of and familiarisation with tourist attractions in the region,” Dědek added. The stay also includes bonuses – such as a transfer from Vienna to Luhačovice and free rental of a parking space and during the holding of the Janáček and Luhačovice Festival a permanent entrance ticket to all of the concerts.
“Due to the expected demand for this type of product, we have prepared a similar stay for domestic clientèle. This is one of the ways that we can present the spas even to those who would not come for a 'classic treatment',” Dědek added.
The Palace Hotel is located in the city centre and is one of the dominant landmarks in Luhačovice. This hotel, which provides comprehensive accommodation, catering and treatment services under one roof is the largest spa facility in Luhačovice. Last year more than 5,000 guests received treatment or spent their holidays in the four-star Palace Hotel.
This is already the second award for the joint-stock company in the three-year history of the competition. Last year the medical wellness stay in the Alexandria **** Spa & Wellness Hotel received the award.
