On the place of a water fortress from the 13th century and a Late Gothic castle of the Šlik family built a Renaissance chateau of the Nostitz family, rebuilt in the Classicist style. Expositions: the history, art and nature of the Sokolov region, the history of mining in the area of Slavkovský les, western Krušné hory and Sokolovská pánev.
