On a stroll through Brno you’re certain to come across the Švejk Restaurant U Formana located right in the city centre. This traditional Czech tavern is ensconced on the ground floor of an Art Nouveau building, the restaurant on the floor above. Decorated with reproductions of works by the famous painter and illustrator, Josef Lada, the wood-panelled interior radiates an atmosphere of times gone by. The menu also plays along with the theme, with Czech classics such as sirloin in cream sauce served with cranberries and homemade dumplings, and grilled pikeperch in basil sauce. In the summer months we open a cosy garden seating area.
