Brno Zoological Gardens

The ZOO stretches across 65 hectares in the city part Brno-Bystrc, near Brno reservoir. There are animals from all continents of the world except the Antarctic. Among the most attractive species kept here are tigers, leopards, Canadian wolves, polar bears, kangaroos, suricates and a rare kind of horses Equus przewalskii. The visitors are also invited to see the animals in the new expositions: Tiger rocks, Tropical kingdom, Beringie or Children ZOO. Especially in summer, the ZOO holds a range of events both for children and adults.
