The family company Vinné sklepy Kutná Hora, s.r.o. has resolved to renew the departed fame and long tradition of grape cultivation in the Kutná Hora region, which dates right back to the year 1101. The company currently produces BIO wine, holds professional training sessions and wine tastings. Non-traditional tours of the Convent of St. Ursula with wine tasting sessions are held in terms of the Kutná Hora Summer and traditional events include the Kutná Hora grape harvest. Wines from this area (e.g. Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Müller Thurgau or Gewürtztraminer) are prized for their minerality and spiciness and reap many awards in the Czech Republic and abroad. Kutná Hora offers those who are interested the Winery cycle path, a 6km circuit connecting the city centre with the vineyards.
