Have you ever wondered about the work of glassmakers and different stages of glass production? In the glassworks of the Rückl glass dynasty, with a three-hundred-year tradition, you will learn in the course of a 45-minute tour about all stages of glass production including glass-blowing, painting, crackling and cutting. Located in Nižbor, which lies 8km from Beroun in the pleasant environment of the Berounka River, the glassworks offers tours all year round. There is a refreshment stand with a terrace and a shop selling glass products directly on the grounds of the glassworks. Film fans will appreciate that Rückl Crystal creates the cut-crystal Czech Lion statues, which are awarded annually by the Czech Film Academy for the best Czech films and performances.
