This 18-hole course is to be found in the village of Kestřany, between the ancient towns of Písek and Strakonice. It lies in the romantic South Bohemian countryside, bounded by woods, meadows and fields, and includes two fish ponds. Thanks to both natural and man-made pitfalls, the course represents a challenge to every player. The Japanese architect Shunsuke Kato drew on the natural meditative character of the local landscape when working on the design of the first “nine”. Many of the holes are closed in by woods, creating an intimate space for perfect concentration while playing.
