Since its opening in 2008, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, located in a reconstructed industrial building in the Holešovice district, offers exhibitions, guided tours and lectures, as well as a special programme for families. Emphasis is placed on the overlap between the Czech and the international contexts and also among the various artistic disciplines. DOX also has a bookshop and design shop, and you can relax at a pleasant café with a terrace. A sales gallery offers a selection of works by leading Czech designers and conceptual artists. Attesting to DOX’s leading position among Czech galleries are numerous awards, including several Prague Post readers’ choice awards as the best art gallery in the city.
