Karasín Look-out Tower: get a bird’s-eye view of charming Vysočina

Vítochov - Chapel of the Archangel Michael Zdeněk Fiamoli

The Karasín stone look-out tower, one of the most visited places in the Vysočina (Highlands) region, is located near Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and Vítochov, where you can see the early Gothic Church of St. Michael the Archangel. Karasín is impossible to miss, whether you hike the field paths or set off from the Vír reservoir along the red trail. All year round you can climb the 128 steps to a walkway from which a magnificent view opens up, particularly towards the south, where you will see the Křižanovské Highlands, the Arnolecké Mountains and the valley of the Bystřice brook with the Zubštejn castle ruins.
