Prague Card works as a ticket in public transport
Beginning with 1st April 2014, it’s possible to use Prague Card as a valid ticket in public transportation in Czech capital. Prague City Tourism is a principal partner of the project, focused primarily on foreign tourists.
Prague Card enables it’s holders (aside from free transportation) to visit more than fifty principal sightseeings and other points of interest for no charge. The price of the card includes sightseeing bus tour, the Moldau river boat trip, guided sightseeing tour, two-way Václav Havel Airport transport and discount up to 50% for additional admission charges, tours, pleasure cruises and cultural events.
Every holder of the card receives 150 page full-color pocket guidebook with information about all the important sightseeings, objects and services. Guidebook is currently available in Czech, Slovakian, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian language. There are 2, 3, or 4 day variants of the card, with prices ranging from 33 EUR to 65 EUR. Price reduction for students and kids.
Prague Card is intended mainly for foreign visitors of Prague, who used the card for 280 000 individual admissions during last season. Prague Card uses the same electronic chip system as similar networks in London, Paris, New York, Philadelphia and Berlin.
Cards are available for sale online, in information centers of Prague City Tourism and other listed places.
