Director Peter Thwaites selected Český Krumlov for his new campaign for Guinness beer, which tells the story of a unique magic clock, which decides on its own to manage time in a manner that improves the fates of the town and local inhabitants.
The black and white advertisement is set at the end of the 19th century, and observant viewers will recognise well known sites in Český Krumlov, such as Náměstí Svornosti Square with a baroque fountain, the Barber Bridge and the former Church of St. Jošt at Latrán.
Already the second spot from the “Made of More” series, participated in by around 160 actors, the advertisement emphasizes the uniqueness of the famous black beer from Dublin. The spot was filmed during October of last year and took five days to complete. The commercial will begin being broadcast in Great Britain as of 24 January.
