Town
The town is situated near Zlín, on the wooded hills of the preserved area called Bílé Karpaty.
Its spa tradition began three hundred years ago. Together with the development of balneology in the Czech Republic in the beginning of the 20th century Luhačovice were in the period of its vigour and gradually became popular spa resort. In rare symbiosis the beauty of the nature combines with the architecture of spa buildings designed by the architect Dušan Jurkovič. By its size Luhačovice belong to spas of world significance.
