Opat, Kutná Hora

Hotel Opat – monastery beer and old Bohemian cuisine

During a tour of the historical centre of Kutná Hora, including the Cathedral of St. Barbara and the Jesuit College, you should not miss the pleasant hotel which is located in one of the oldest patrician’s houses in Kutná Hora. This is also home to a restaurant where, among other things, you can try the oldest monastery beer, Opat, from the Broumov brewery. You can choose from beef steaks, pastas or salads, but also a wide range of Czech specialities, especially old Bohemian cuisine – try some potato soup with fresh mushrooms, trout in almond butter with grilled vegetables or lattice cake with jam and nuts. We recommend the homemade potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork and cabbage to go with the superb Opat beer. Enjoy your meal!
