The Human Body Exhibition

10/03/2012 - 10/06/2012 < Back
Location: Křižík Pavilions, Exhibition Grounds Prague-Holešovice, Prague 7
Organizer:

This exhibition has shocked and enthused millions of people the world over. This year, it will also be visiting the Czech Republic, coming to the Křižík Pavilions at Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice. The exhibition will be bringing with it tens of completely new exhibits and its scope will far exceed anything that has been on show in our country until now.

We can set out on an interesting excursion through the human body. We really will pass through everything leaving nothing out. We will investigate the skeleton, muscles, blood circulation, we will find out how our organs work and what happens to the body when we do sports or rest.
Thanks to plastination – a revolutionary method of preserving the human body – we can thus have a look at everything in even more detail. German and American scientists are constantly perfecting the method of polymer preservation. Bodily fluids are replaced in the tissue by silicon and the exhibits are all the more lifelike because of this.
