This large-scale event builds on a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. During carnival time, pageants took place all over Bohemia, celebrating human joy, community and the craft of the Czech men and women. The Bohemian festival builds on this tradition and takes place in several museums, palaces, theatres, restaurants and public areas. It is a showcase of creative and theatrical art. You will meet artists, jugglers and clowns. Last but not least, you will get the opportunity to taste some gastronomic experiences from the carnival delicacies.
