A small town on the river Radbuza was founded in the 14th century on the site of an early Gothic bishop’s castle, which was later rebuilt into a residential Renaissance chateau.

unique three-nave chapel with modern windowpanes has been preserved from the Early Gothic period. The surrounding English park (40 hectares) with the Loretto chapel and the Widow House are also worth mentioning. The picturesque square is decorated with rows of old burghers´ houses with Baroque facades and the Church of St. Peter and Paul.
