Town

In the heart of the Jeseníky Mountains, 620 meters above sea level; stimulating sub-mountain climate with higher precipitation. The spa was founded by Vincenc Priessnitz. Geographical location: the Jeseníky region.

Personages, Dates, History:

*In 1820 Vincent Priessnitz set up the spa program based on the effects of cold spring water. He combined water cure with climate-therapy and diet.

*Best-known spa building is the Priessnitz House. Architect Bauer built it in 1910.

*Professor MUDr.Josef Reinhold made Jeseník world-famous by the treatment of neuro-psychiatric diseases.
