Wine tastes best with friends

Prague, July 2008 Hold your glass up to the light and see how the wine sparkles. Draw its bouquet into your nose and take a sip. What’s it like? Well, whatever your senses tell you, you’ll never be able to find as many nuances as an experienced sommelier. But that’s not the most important thing at a wine tasting. Wine is best drunk and discussed with people in whose company you feel good. Wine festivals take place in this friendly atmosphere and can be the cherry on the cake of an autumn visit to the Czech Republic.

A celebration of fine food, good times and great beer

Prague, June 2008 The Czech Republic’s beer is a national phenomenon. If you would like to discover what lies behind the magic of the golden beverage with the frothy white cap, come and visit this year’s beer festivities. There will of course be beer tasting, but that is only a part of the attraction: there will be no shortage, either, of good food, musical programmes, unconventional brewery tours and amusing competitions.
