Advantages of travel in the Czech Republic
- All public transport connections can be found on a single internet timetable (www.idos.cz)
- Public transport in Prague (www.dpp.cz) is highly affordable – 75 minutes of travel anywhere in Prague (www.prague-info.cz) costs 20 CZK (0.70 euro)
- Discounts for rail travel are offered by Czech Railways (www.cd.cz). Even two passengers can receive a group ticket discount, which increases with the number of passengers travelling on the same ticket.

Pilsen and around
PilsenPass Visitor (www.turistickakarta.cz) for travel in and around Pilsen – discounts of 10–100 %, price 360 CZK (11 euros), includes pre-charged electronic cash equalling 120 CZK (4 euros) for city public transit.
Olomouc and around
Olomouc Region Card (www.olomoucregioncard.cz) – The 48-hour card costs 160 CZK (5 euros), and the 5-day card 340 CZK (10 euros); both offer free entrance to the most important castles, chateaux and museums, along with discounts at various sports venues.
Discounts for seniors
Practically all attractions, whether museums, galleries, castles or palaces offer senior citizens reduced entrance fees. Visitors over the age of 65 pay, for instance, for a complete tour of Prague Castle a mere 175 CZK (just under 6 euros) instead of the full admission fee of 350 CZK (under 12 euros).
