Prague is wonderful

back to list

Hello,

I've recently returned from a weekend trip to Prague with friends and
wanted to say that I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed visiting your country.

We flew Czech airlines and the flights were on time, very comfortable and the staff very polite (and the girls very pretty). Our Hotel was Best Western Meteor Plaza which was perfect for us. Again the staff were excellent, very helpful, and our rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with a good varied breakfast.
We found the city very interesting and explored most of the main sites -
castle, Charles bridge, main square, the park and "Eiffel tower" replica.
We eat very well in a variety of restaurants and although the staff were quite reserved they were always polite and the service was always good. We tried a variety of food - from Bison Steak, to Thai Chicken, and Goulash and Dumplings to Pasta - we never had reason to complain about the food.
Our only concern was being a little surprised at the service charge in
some places - not every place did it but it was 20% in some which we didn't feel was very clear on the menu. Fortunately most places did not have service charge and we were able to tip as well felt appropriate.
We also found the bars and clubs good places to relax and enjoy ourselves and never in the slightest intimidating which is often a problem in England.
The beer was really good and we tried cocktails and local spirits added to the fun. A bar called Papas was our favourite where we went every night and had a really good time. I have to say as well that the girls in Prague, and particularly in Papas Bar, are some of the prettiest we've ever seen.
We were given maps both by the taxi driver from the airport and the hotel and had little problem finding our way around. Whenever we asked for help or advice people were really good and sorted us out.
We really had an excellent time and feel you should be very proud of your city and country and we look forward to returning some day.

Thanks

Paul Judd
