Coffee Museum Prague – a kingdom of taste and aroma

Premiere type: Comfort of the towns. We recommend for: Relaxing holiday.
Announced: August 2008

In visiting the grounds of the old Hergetova brickworks in the Malá Strana quarter, you will be rewarded with a new museum of coffee, the first museum of coffee in Prague and, following on from those in Amsterdam, Vienna and London, the fourth in Europe.

The museum pays especial attention to the journey of coffee from the coffee bean all the way to the cup. Visitors can learn how to roast coffee or grind it correctly. In addition, various legends and posters with coffee as a theme can be seen, as well as a map of the world denoting the areas in which coffee is grown and information about particular plantations with samples of their coffee.

Part of the exhibition includes historic coffee-making apparatuses and coffee services, including a Turkish coffee-service made from brass and a Viennese apparatus for preparing home-made espresso.
