The site consists of 20 obstacles situated at the height of 8 metres and a freely accessible climbing wall.
n the Škoda Sport Park in Plzeň Doudlevce, the first rope centre in Plzeň and wide surroundings came into being in 2006. The rope centre is owned by the city district of Plzeň – Slovany and it is managed by Summit drive s.r.o. The centre is open to the general public – both individuals and groups – every day all year round but it is necessary to book in advance by telephone or e-mail. You can also try the attractions without any booking every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..
The obstacles can be overcome by using three types of protection: self-protection, mutual protection or protection by an instructor. The price of each programme in the Rope Centre includes the actual programme on rope obstacles, a professionally trained instructor who is available throughout the stay and all the necessary gear (certified climbing equipment).
And what can one try out in person?
Low rope obstacles – obstacles up to 1 meter above the ground; they are used for safe training in overcoming rope obstacles.
Training in protection – the visitor is taught the correct and effective protection technique under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
High “individual” obstacles – the visitor overcomes an obstacle on his/her own.
High “team” obstacles – obstacles for two climbers. Cooperation, communication and trust play an important role here.
Jumps – obstacles, which only one person overcomes with the assistance of at least two other persons and under the direct supervision of an instructor.
”Big swing” – a jump that can always only be made by one person with the direct assistance of an instructor and at least one another person.
