Each year in September, Tábor for a few days returns to the first half of the 15th century, to a time when the Hussite leader Jan Žižka of Trocnov took over the town. The programme includes processions in historic costumes, concerts, open-air theatres, exhibitions, fireworks, and games and contests for children. You can also taste Tábor’s medieval specialities in several historical taverns!
