Night of Churches
May 29, 2015
The Night of Churches offers a non-binding approach to becoming acquainted with Christianity. It’s a night full of lightness and spontaneity, and likewise sensitivity and depth. The tradition was born in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and the first Night of Churches was held in the Czech Republic in 2009. The popularity of this event increases every year and involves more and more parishes. This exceptional atmosphere allows you to explore the towers of churches, mysterious places of sacristy, chapels, cloisters, refectories, the Garden of Eden and other places that are not normally open to the public. The splendid accompanying program often offers concerts of classical music, guided tours and discussions.
