Asparagus Festival Ivančice

May 22, 2015May 24, 2015

Do you adore asparagus? Then don’t miss the festivities in Ivančice!

Ivančice and the area around it used to be famous for producing asparagus. The festivities, which take place in Ivančice each year in late May, are often the first opportunity for many visitors to become familiar with this former choice treat. Local restaurants offer asparagus dishes and specialties, but you can also buy fresh sprouts for experimenting in your own kitchen. The event includes cooking classes for adults and children, farmers markets, wine testings, concerts, exhibitions and competitions.
