Sychrov Chateau: discover a Gothic Revival beauty

Chateau Sychrov Ladislav Renner

You can visit the Gothic Revival-style Sychrov Chateau all year round. An extensive exhibition engages you in the lifestyle of the nobility in the second half of the 19th century, when the chateau flourished under the princely Rohan family, which came to Bohemia from French Brittany. At Sychrov you can see many rare collections, including French portrait paintings and etched and painted Bohemian glass from the 18th and 19th centuries. In the chateau’s English park you can admire the kings of the sky: eagles, falcons, buzzards and owls, whose abilities will be demonstrated to you by an experienced falconer. On the grounds is also the Crown Prince Rudolf lookout point and the romantic artificial ruin known as Arthur’s Castle.
