Průhonice Chateau and arboretum: rare species of plants and trees

This Neo-Renaissance chateau near Prague offers more than just majestic interiors for banquet, conferences and weddings, which are held in the Knights’ Hall and the courtyard. It also has an attractive park that is one of the largest naturally landscaped parks in Europe and has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its important features include a vast collection of different varieties of irises, cultivated roses and peonies. A dendrological garden offers a rare collection of around 1,500 native and exotic woody species.
