Pařížská

Pařížská Street: a Parisian boulevard in the heart of Prague

Pařížská (meaning Paris Street) is synonymous with luxury shops and restaurants, and it is no coincidence that it will remind you of the famous boulevards in the City of Light. You can practically feel a Parisian atmosphere as you stroll past the elegant buildings with the glass showcase windows of such boutiques as Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci. You will also see the Old-New Synagogue and a few other buildings recalling the history of Josefov, the Old Jewish Quarter, which stood here for centuries before an urban renewal project at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Adding to the special atmosphere are the alleys of trees lining the street. In the evening and night-time hours, the street comes alive with the bustle of chic clubs and bars.
