The pavilion with beasts of prey, the African village, Hacienda Escondido or the Asian park – you can see all of this at Jihlava Zoo, which does not try to astound visitors with its size (its area is a mere 6.5 ha), but does try to ensure that both you and its animal inhabitants feel at home here. There are more than 150 species of exotic animals here, including endangered species, in a zoo without cages. The zoo’s main attractions include the Matongo African Village and the large exhibition of sun bears with running water and rock gullies. You will be ensured an edifying walk thanks to a mobile application, which you can download from the zoo website free of charge. If you and your friends make up a group of at least ten, an expert will be made available to answer all of your questions. You can even get married here in an African, Mexican or Japanese style.
