Grabštejn Castle

Originally a Gothic castle from the mid-13th century, remodeled a expanded in the Renaissance style.

Below the castle is the so-called New Chateau, remodeled from a Renaissance into a Classicist building.  The Chateau is currently closed. Visitors can tour the Renaissance Chapel of St. Barbara with its wall paintings, part of the Northern wing, and the tower offering a view.  The Chapel of St. Barbara is the most impressive Renaissance room in the Czech countryside.
