A complex of Renaissance a Baroque chateau buildings from the early 16th century with a church on the site of a former monastery.

Sculptural decorations by Matthias Bernard Braun. An exhibition on the history of the area a its personalities, history of the museum, its flora a fauna.  Memorial halls honoring the astronomer Tycho de Brahe (who built an observatory here in 1599), the composer Bedřich Smetana (who lived at the castle while teaching music to the Thun aristocratic family), a the Benda brothers, musicians a composers. A collection of Australian Aborigine artifacts.
