The ZOO is located in the neighbourhood of a chateau garden near the town centre. Visiting ZOO is very comfortable is very comfortable; refreshment is available in the ZOO complex. Parking is located in front of the chateau.

Specialization:
Breeding of primitive strains of domestic animals (fiord horse, Carpathian goat). It participates in 25 European breeding programs of the EEP.
Breeds:
164 mammals in 48 species, 109 birds in 25 species, 5 amphibians in 3 species, 20 fish in 2 species.
The most significant species:
Fiord horse, Hungarian steppe cattle, buffalos, yak, Carpathian goat, Wallis goat, Wallachian sheep, mangalica pig, Elliot’s pheasant, Mikado pheasant, Tibetan pheasant, barn owl, lemur kata, northern lynx, Indian tiger, Somali donkey, Przewalski´s horse. The number of the breeding species listed in the Red Book of endangered animals: 7, the number of the breeding species endangered in Czech nature: 5.
Recommended visit:
The “Little farmstead of our grandmother” – imitation of a farmstead, where the visitors can have a straight contact with the animals.
Rarity:
Hungarian steppe cattle, yak, buffalo, newly imported Dutch gayal cattle, watussi and other species of the primitive farm strains can be hardly seen in open nature.

Vyškov is situated on the highway Praha-Vyškov (Olomouc). Railway connection by regional connections from Brno and Prostějov.
