Location:
The Zoo is situated 8 km from Zlín in the direction to Lukov and Kostelec. In the chateau garden grow around 220 rare trees and bushes, some of them are 270 years old. A part of the garden is a deer-park and a number of water reservoirs. Central parking place and a stylish restaurant are situated in front of the ZOO complex, in the Zoo complex is a possibility of refreshment and souvenirs.

12,6 ha, the area for animals extends on 6,6 ha.

In 1929 by private initiative of the Count J.F.Seilern, in 1948 open to the public.

Specialization:
The bio-park with expositions corresponding to particular zoogeographical areas. It propagates ostriches, rowans, deer in fetter and breeds lipican horses. The ZOO has a significant merit in preservation of the genetic resources by re-introduction of barn owls. It participates in 20 European preservation programs of the EEP.
Breeds:
293 mammals in 61 species, 490 birds in 110 species, 42 reptiles in 18 species, 12 amphibians in 6 species, 486 fish in 27 species and numerous invertebrates in 16 species.
The most significant species:
Green iguana, Goffin´s cockatoo, Tibetan pheasant, Japanese rowan, and other rowan species, Arabic Oryx, rhinoceros, tiger, gorilla, chimpanzee and other species. The number of breeding species listed in the Red Book of endangered animals: 32; the number of breeding species endangered in Czech nature: 8.

Aquariums, vivariums, aviary, seals exposition, paddock of African cloven-hoofed animals, exposition of gibbons and gorillas.
Rarity:
A unique exposition of rowans from different continents.
