Tourist regions are defined as the regions typical by a certain kind of tourism, which connects and unifies the individual elements of the region and at the same time makes it different from other regions.
The basis for the tourist region is the existence of tourist products and offers. On the contrary, the regions do not create any political or institutional borders. They are not strictly linked, because the aim is to give certain independence in decisions and their own presentation to the localities situated on the edges of these regions.
