The seat of the museum is the reconstructed burgher's house of the 16th century. The permanent exposition presents the history of Zábřeh from the Middle Ages to 1945, a part of the museum is devoted to the well-known native of Zábřeh and, at the same time, polar traveller, writer and chief of the Eskimos, J. Eskymo Welzl. The museum also organizes short-term exhibitions.
