Protected Landscape Area Pálava
Towering to the north of Mikulov is the vast limestone cliff Pálava, a UNESCO biospheric preserve and, at the same time, the national natural preserve with rare flora and ruins of several mediaeval castles. The area is cut by marked tourist routes and educational paths, since 2004 accessible is the cave Na Turoldu.
