Villa Tugendhat in Brno – Černá Pole

The glassed villa on the slope above Brno, the key work of the world functionalistic architecture, was designed in 1928 by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The villa during the construction of which the top materials and accessible modern technologies were used became in 2001 the first monument of modern architecture in the Czech Republic and the fourth one in the world that was inscribed into the UNESCO list of monuments.
