At the height of 1 386 m above the sea level in the peat-bogs of the Labská meadow there is the spring of the vastest river of Bohemia – Labe. The length of the flow of the river is 1 122 km, from it 364.4 km in the territory of the Czech Republic. Not far below the Labská Cottage the Labe rushes by the 40 m high waterfall to the Labský důl, continues to the Dívčí lávky and further through the deep valley to Špindlerův Mlýn and the foothills of the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains).
