The military museum is situated in the places where on July 3, 1866 the battle took place between the Prussian and Austrian armies, the second largest military battle of the 19th century. The exposition presents the armament and outfit of the participating armies, the event is reminded by more than four hundred monuments, individual graves and mass burial places in the surroundings. From the new 56 m high tower with two telescopes a view opens of the whole battle field, on days of anniversary every year pious and commemorative events take place.
