Portmoneum – Museum of Josef Váchal in Litomyšl
J. Váchal excelled, first of all, as graphic artist and creator of books on hand paper that he conceived as a specific art artefact and from the manuscript via setting, colour or black-and-white wood carvings up to the binding created them all by himself. In the house of his friend J. Portman Váchal decorated two rooms and the furniture. The reconstructed house was made accessible in 1993.
