Bell Tower in Rovensko pod Troskami

The wooden bell tower of the 17th century is obviously the single one of its kind in the world the bells of which are turned with the tongues upwards and are put into motion by treading. Three “rebellious” bells, named after the Czech Saints, John the Baptist, Wenceslas and George, were originally suspended in the traditional manner but because they summoned for rebellion, as a punishment the lordship had them turned.
