The mediaeval castle at the headlands of the Vranovský range above the river Jizera, the beautiful dominant of the area of Malá Skála, ceased to serve its purpose after 1556 and dilapidated. Preserved in the picturesque ruin has been the 15 m high cylindrical tower with an excellent view of the surroundings, torsos of palaces and walls and also the rooms cut directly in the rock blocks.
