Ještěd

Since 1973 situated on the top of the mountain Ještěd (1 012 m) is the 90 m high original building of ing. arch. K. Hubáček that gained a number of awards. The highest part serves for radio communications, on the lower storeys there is an observation restaurant and hotel. Leading from Liberec to the top of Ještěd is the cabin cable way, on the foothill of the mountain there is the well-known winter sports centre with ski jumps and downhills where in 2009 the World Championship in Classical Skiing will take place.
