Máchovo jezero (The Mácha Lake)
In summer, the popular recreational area with sand beaches is the paradise of the lovers of swimming and winter sports. In Doksy and Staré Splavy summer festivities and social events are organized, in the surroundings there are both forests with a number of interesting rock formations, and numerous historic monuments. Two small islands – the Myší and Kachní – are significant ornithological localities and entry to them is prohibited.
