The significant pilgrimage place is often called the Czech Mariazell. The dominant of the Baroque area is the temple of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary with the wooden Gothic sculpture of the Black Madonna of 1380 and the Christmas crib of Hejnice depicting the surroundings of the town. In the adjacent Franciscan monastery there is the seat of the International Centre of Spiritual Restoration, participating regularly in the pilgrimages are the believers from Bohemia, Germany and Poland.
