In 1842-1845 the count Karel Chotek had one of the youngest chateaus of the Czech Republic built. The charming chateau interiors remind of the life of an aristocratic family at the end of the 19th century, i.e. at the time when Žofie Chotková stayed at the chateau, the grand-daughter of the founder of the chateau and later wife of the successor to the Habsburg throne, František Ferdinand d´Este. The chateau is surrounded by valuable English park.
