The largest synagogue in the Czech Republic, the second largest in Europe and the third one in the world, built in 1888-1893 in the Moorish-Romanesque style, reminds the former numerous prospering Jewish community of Plzeň. In the interior with excellent acoustics concerts and exhibitions take place. Accessible is also the Old Synagogue and the Garden of Memories, the pious place reminding of the victims of holocaust from the Area of Plzeň.
