Cathedral of St. Bartoloměj in Plzeň

The Gothic cathedral with the 102.6 m high tower is the most valuable monument of the historic core of Plzeň. The jewel of the temple is the Šternberg chapel of the first half of the 16th century that served as family vault. Located on the main altar is argillite sculpture of the Plzeň Madonna of 1390, one of the most valuable sculptures of the so-called beautiful style of Czech Madonnas.
