Monastery Plasy

The former Cistercian monastery was founded, in the valley of the Střela river, before 1146, by prince Vladislav IInd. During the Baroque re-building according to the project of J. B. Santini and K. I. Dienzenhofer, one of the largest monastery buildings in Europe with unique hygienic equipment of the period. Passing through the object are four visitors' rounds, made accessible newly is the granary with the clock tower.
